Beneath the Moon
Beneath the moon we share our lives
Upon benches, along the drives,
Like others have sat many times
Distant places, different climes,
For this is how a true love jives.
Couples hold hands and love survives
Exchanging stories while love thrives,
Listening to village church chimes
Beneath the moon.
A passing couple gives “high fives”
Playing music, the moon dives
Behind clouds, then it gently climbs,
I kiss her and think not a crime
To seal our love, our bliss-filled lives
Beneath the moon.
