Beneath the Moon

Beneath the moon we share our lives Upon benches, along the drives, Like others have sat many times Distant places, different climes, For this is how a true love jives. Couples hold hands and love survives Exchanging stories while love thrives, Listening to village church chimes Beneath the moon. A passing couple gives “high fives” Playing music, the moon dives Behind clouds, then it gently climbs, I kiss her and think not a crime To seal our love, our bliss-filled lives Beneath the moon. written June 26, 2021

Thanks. I've been on this romantic streak, lately, and I can't figure out why. I think it started after I wrote the tribute poem to Deb.

Thanks, gw. I've been a bit of a romantic mood recently. Guess I miss Deb, and writing about her earlier triggered this romantic stuff. In October she'll have been gone three years....it never gets better, does it?

Thanks, Juliet. It's a rondeau, based on two rhymes, but the rhymes are quite similar, perhaps, too similar as I reread it. Thank you for your read and your kind comment.
