Mark Tuney, theme "Celestial Bodies", Judged, 01/15/2025

"Looking back at Earth, I can't really describe how beautiful it is from 300 miles up. Looking down you can tell it's a planet. The sky is black. There's just a thin blue ribbon, what we see as blue sky on Earth. You realize how small it is and how fragile the planet is. " Quote by _ Astronaut, Mike Good . . . me, a tiny speck on Earth, beneath the blue dome a celestial sphere of sky ever changing hues oh, just a thin blue ribbon when viewed from deep outer space beyond the blue sky the sun, planets, stars and moon and from my view bright rainbows and white drifting clouds but, although so beautiful my Earth, is being destroyed

It was very nice, Constance. Sorry it did not place. I like how you finished with this great beauty of ours being destroyed. I wonder what it will look like from space fifty years from now.

A brilliant write and yes sad to think that many are intent on destroying Earth and don't see how beautiful it really is

You have ably tackled this theme, Constance, looking at earth from two different vantage points. Earth has so much to offer, and yet greed is ruining what we have. ~ Regards // paul
