Beneath Mine Sole

.

               Far
               far
   beneath mine sole
       I reach down

 Imagine mine stretch
   as I touch what is
             so low

 Conceive if thine vista
            permits

this city park's fountain
 and the sparkle at its
            bottom
      and what the I
    could do with this
          now mine
             pence

The coins in the fountain are so alluring, aren't they James? I think there may be a double reference here on glittering memories of the past that seem unobtainable now. Quite a provocative image in this "sparkling" poem, dear friend. Love, Carolyn
