When despair gnaws, I claim the green throne,
Iron bones worn by ten thousand suns.
I lay my palm—your warmth burns unbidden,
Aroma folds over paint in the air.
A susurrus coils: “Rise, and be made whole, dear heart,”
Fractured self gathers like scattered stars.
Chronos halts; the bench consecrates, eternal,
I ascend, and the cosmos bends to my step.

Whoohoo, Mohit ! Certainly you are an Ascended Master if the Cosmos bends to your step. Well done for articulating it in this unique way. These lines are nothing short of exquisite: “ Fractured self gathers like scattered stars. Chronos halts; the bench consecrates, eternal,”. Phew ! I need to breathe after reading that. I like that you are entering contests here. It makes the site more international rather than just a North American flavour. Have an ecstatic week, Sir Poet ~ sowing the seeds of ascension. Great Love. X.

Gracious Ghairo, Thy gracious reading of my poor lines hath touched me more than I can utter. That thou didst perceive the trembling pulse beneath them persuadeth me my quiet aim was not in vain; for when a soul discerneth the hidden motion of another’s verse, the poet’s small purpose standeth fulfilled. Thy pause upon those lines—where the fractured self gathers as scattered stars and Time himself seems stayed—gladdens me deeply, for they were writ in a moment when the spirit sought its own re-assembling. If aught of that inward stirring reached thee, then verily the humble bench hath performed its silent ministry. For thy generous and touching words and noble warmth, I remain most grateful.
