Below a Silver Moon
On the lake below a silver moon
Shimmering in sprightly dance,
Ripples shone like silver spoons,
As off towards the shore they pranced.
Moonbeams fell upon the trees,
Shining on both branch and leaf,
Breaking through the tangled boughs
They lit the forest floor beneath.
That silver moon, enchanted all
Casting it's nocturnal spell,
It touched upon the mountain tops,
Whose peaks lit up like silver bells.
All across the land it shone,
Casting moonbeams far and wide.
Over farms and villages,
And far, across the countryside.
