Beloved One

Ask me not whenceforth
from which place or time I come
from, dear lufu of mine
Beewolf and seizer of hearts
come-hither at me door Sire

Query onely beau
and without askance kiss me
Like a flowery rose dear
sitting on thy breast sweet love
scented sweetly at your side

Seek me as the root
of all that passions thy soul
Gentle as the winds
that blow gently close to thine
tousled as my wild,wild hair.

Enjoyed them all. Hard to pick a favourite. But...if pushed...probably the last one. Five great lines! Particularly loved this: "tousled as my wild, wild hair." Good work done here, Rose. :) john

I always loved the olden days when romance was at the height of passion, filled with abandon and loyal feelings that lasted. Not like today when relationships fail so often, those days we clung to each other for dear life. Thanks for your visit John I look forward to them :)

Got to be a fireplace or open fire near for romance is upon thee. I like it! Bill

three beautifully written Tankas, Rose. They were softly romantic and compelling. I just love your poetic voice! Keep writing, hugs Sara
