Belmont

Belmont nestles deep in frost's embrace, children all will keep watch for a trace of gently falling snow to set their eyes aglow! Shrill melodic rounds as pure as prayer, curlew's song resounds o'er bracing air throughout the arching sky where winged angels fly. Churchbells toll us in from toil and play, offer thanks again for one more day; chaste blessings from above, sweet mystery of love! ...a 'home-made' form. 545466 meter: ababcc rhyme I call it the 'Bickerette!'

Hey to you, Keith! Well oh well...the 'Bickerette' form does nicely. I'm having a brain snag...ummmmah..this reminds me of something, and I can't think of it.:( Anyhow, whatever it was, had to have been something good!:) This feels like a scene from an old Christmas card..has a magical impetus. Very cleverly done, Keith! Wishing the best to you and yours..God bless! Love, Mikki

Awesome write. The Bickerette is a wonderful form that I know will inspire many. The imagery is beautiful in this. It is such a lovely and lighthearted poem. The footnote was very helpful for me as I have tons to learn about this stuff. I'm thinking about taking a class or two to when I am able to gain skill and knowledge. Thank you for sharing. Love Robin
