Bells of a New America
A bit tired and not hired, I had expired
had bills to pay due today, Yippee-Ki-Yay
at home to stay and without pay
the gov’t did shutdown, due to the clown
no money at all, for me or the wall.
fill my shoes but you would loose
something was left in shambles
it’s America that you always blame.
and can’t praise the nation for what it’s done
but rather took away the privileges of those
earning a keep and proud to be an American.
yes I say I would kneel too to shed my shame
listening to those who lied.
Did I say you did, no I did not, but if it
fits your non achievement goals
then consider that it is you.
we remain united to support our
country and for what is stands for.
we will continue to support and fight for
our rights under the liberty bell.
when the bell rings again let us hear
freedom presides over all and that the truth
will preserve our children whom shall read
that America was not at one time
the greatest that it used to be.
