Notes About The Poem

Believe

"When miracles confound the mortal mind-
             great acts of God are truly what we find."
                                                                _by Poet

Believe- for me, this word soon congers up
that part of me that theorizes and
hypothesizes what I understand;
for sure, our God directs the Universe.

Surmising how our Earth supports all life
of varied forms too many to detail-
what but a God could fathom and control
the processes by which these all exist?

Who else but God could paint the artistry
of intricate designs that cloak our plants,
all creatures of the air, of land and sea-
with perfect stages of their seasons too?

We may live on and take for granted that
these gifts of life are ordinary things.
But, they are major wonders that confirm
these have supported us through centuries.

Such miracles have led me to believe;
to presuppose and ascertain for sure,
the Maker of this world we live upon-
I've come to understand- as my true God.

A hearty amen, Sandra. The miracles, the artistry of nature, the order in the universe and, and the daily providence that supports life all encourage us to believe. Beautifully stated ~ John
