Belated Apology

To my Dearest Most Only Beloved, Lenore : my Loving Bride
In care of Almighty GOD , at the Gates of Heaven ;opened wide
A vow I had spoken, soon was broken “I will always be by your side”
The sorrow of all these years: the ocean of tears , that I have cried

I can drain the tears away, all I have to say “I’m Sorry my LOVE LENORE”
From the abyss of my Heart, the depth of my Soul I apologize L E N O R E
Would YOU think it absurd, if I gave YOU my word , that Forevermore :
I will Always LOVE YOU: in YOUR forgiveness we can live as one in Eternity

Inspired by Christie Moses and Sharon Weimer's Contest "I'm Sorry"

HG, Your love for Lenore is forevermore. There's a beautiful song about eternal families. It's called, "Families Can Be Together for Ever” They sing that song at the (Mormon Church) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I wish you could hear it. I can't imagine you breaking a vow to Lenore, but if you did, I'm sure that she has forgiven you already. Beautiful sentiment is shone here. It's good to see you back here writing. Lovingly, Dane

Such a heartfelt write, straight from your precious soul, HG. I'm sure Lenore would tell you there is no need to apologize; she waits for you on the other side and you will be together again one day. Your devotion to her is much like mine for my late husband, but he, too, would want me to be happy in this life. Very touching write, HG! And it's good to have you back and posting new poems again! Love, Carolyn
