Being Right, Or Righteous
I don't have a beautiful voice to sing 'My country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty'. And I have never had the priviledge of priests, prophets, or seers in my family tree. But I know not any who loves their faimily, their church, or their country more than me.
I see dark clouds forming, and the winds of change are blowing very rapidly.
I am not worried but concerned; I'm growing older, but can still discern.
An observation by me of both the American public
and the American Church, without regard to religious
or political afiliation, nor respect to race, color, or
creed, has caused me to conclude that our Republic
has far more interest in being 'right' than in being 'righteous'.
