I would rather say nothing than be insulting but you are so right and a simple comment can inspire the next poem.

I wrote one very similar to this one a while back, maybe a month or two ago!! I think it was also a senryu!

As you may know, this has been a major pet peeve of mine ever since I began doing poetry sites over 12 years ago. It never changes, Eileen. For every person who reciprocates, there seem to be two who do NOT. So sad!!

I think there must be some sort of weird mistake, Richard. Over 1,000? Can't be....Anyway, I'm not complaining.........Never complain about views. Hope all is well with you. I'm a little down..there was another bomb blast today. The situation is tense...and I'm fed up. It's the end of the semester, and I just can't wait till I can put all this behind me. Sorry...I had to unwind. Thanks!

Oh man is this a true write or what i believe it's only right to read and comment on others whom read my stuff, it's just common curtasy if you ask me great stuff here, thanks for stateing the truth here. and also thanks for your comments on my work. repaying the favor lol cheri

Common Courtesy is nice! Thanks for the visit. I mean..we all have different styles, different types of poetry we relate to, but a payback visit is sweet. A few lines....thanks for reading my work....nice point you made here........that sort of thing. :) Anyway....glad you dropped by. HUGS

i agree, eileen! some poets here seem to never comment on any poems (or at least any of mine, when i've commented on theirs) so eventually, i'll stop my comments to them. it shouldn't be a tit for tat, but once in a while, it's nice to respond (and get a response) (to (or from) someone whose poems you enjoy (or vice-versa).

I know, it can get frustrating....and a little painful! :( I know...I know...and that's why I stop posting, even though I continue reading....some people. I just like their work, but if they don't want to read mine, that sort of means that don't value me....My words and a piece of my soul so- fine. I don't post anymore, but I read...and if they are very dear to my heart...I post anyway! You know I love you, Ilene. You were one of the very first who got into my favorite folder. HUGS

There can't possibly be NOTHING nice to say....At least a thank you for the visit, and ONE positive thing....No, God doesn't like ugly.....he LOVES it! ;) He loves all of us.....and we got a WHOLE LOT OF UGLY. HA HA! Drake....You rock! HUGS

While I appreciate your thought and can understand your reasoning, I can only say that sometimes the kindest and least petty thing one may do after reading many posts is to refrain from commenting.....
