Being Brilliant Horn Haiku

Being Brilliant Horn Haiku Such a brilliant thing; Saw song bird which would take wing, And hear sing in Spring. Had smile on my face As it flew with style and grace All over the place. Seemed so wonderious Also as an added plus She enchanted us. Life should be like this, Then none would I want to miss; All had been pure bliss. James Thomas Horn Retired Veteran and Poet

Jim these are nice, but I hope you know they really are not haiku!! You should call them rhymes!

How do you do. They are Horn Haiku. 5-7-5 that rhyme. Asia and the Orient should know that here in America we prefer to Americanize things. This is what got me in trouble with my poetry group. I call it poetry Rugged Individualism like back in the old days and you had to survive on your own intuition. This is me. Jim Horm

I am being criticized for my haiku which does not totally conform to haiku style and format. Haiku originated a thousand yeats ago. I am just modernizing it. Oh, I meant years not Yeats. Jim Horn
