Being
Am I
A human being
If so
What am I being
Is what I'm doing freeing
Or am I a clone
Like dolly the sheep
Going through life bleat bleat bleat
Wanting approval
Who am I being
Is it me you are seeing
Am I one of a kind
Or is it a trick of my mind
In the end are we all similarly designed
By others defined
They call us the human race
No wonder it's hard to keep pace
I trip on my lace
Fall on my face
Unsure how to find my place
What are the dreams I choose to chase
Being human
I'm filled with flaws
The breaker of laws
Searching for meaning and a cause
Living with others
Side by side
Attempting not to be ruled by pride
I try to be open
Yet there are things I hide
All part of being
Human and flawed
I guess that's okay
We change day by day
Time to go my own way
Unconventional
Just being me
One branch
Of a larger tree
Sometimes hard to see
Amongst all these other humans being
"To be or not to be"
In the end just me being me
To Be Contest
