Behind Dizzy's Smile

He took care of his ailing wife
Mary was so young

Faithful by her side
Fearing what his life
Would be without her
Needing her to hang on
Get better – she tried

It wasn’t meant to be
Dizzy fell to the deepest bowels
Of anger and despair

A burning pain imbedded in his heart
Inconsolable till the momentous night
Mary visited Dizzy in his dreams

Since then Dizzy shines
With an unworldly smile
And a new resolution
To make each day count

As he waits patiently
For the glorious day
He reunites with his Mary
