Behind Dizzy's Smile
Listen to poem:
He took care of his ailing wife
Mary was so young
Faithful by her side
Fearing what his life
Would be without her
Needing her to hang on
Get better – she tried
It wasn’t meant to be
Dizzy fell to the deepest bowels
Of anger and despair
A burning pain imbedded in his heart
Inconsolable till the momentous night
Mary visited Dizzy in his dreams
Since then Dizzy shines with an unworldly smile
And a new resolution to make each day count
As he waits patiently for the glorious day
He reunites with his Mary
