Before we started
Before we started
I was convinced
You’d never want me.
Then you confessed.
You liked me
Or so you said.
If that was true,
Would you not
Have done more?
I’d come around
Every chance I could
In the hopes I would see you
For even a split second.
But every time I was there
I was just another body
Inflating your ego.
You never gave me
The time of day.
I gave you
Every second of mine.
