Before the sun goes down Behind the mountains of the temporal And onto the valley of the eternal, My soul feels like singing The joys and sorrows of life From the dawn of my birth Till the upcoming sunset of my Existence...and beyond!* © Demetrios Trifiatis 23 May 2023 - * On the tenth of July 2022, I posted the above poem and announced that it would be in the introduction of my new book, " Before the Sun Goes Down. " Now that the book is out and available on Amazon, I want to thank all my PoetrySoup friends who, for almost eleven years, have honored me with their friendship and encouraged me with their comments. I wish you to know that I am grateful to you all. I also would like to thank PoetrySoup for allowing me to present my poetry. None of my four books would have been published without your support. God bless you. PS: As I approach the eighth decade of my life, I would rarely post. It was an honor to be with you all these years. Thank you! BLESSINGS! -

As you've probably guessed I have been travelling again, this time to Norway and I had the pleasure of meeting Anne-Lise in Haugesund. Congratulations Demetrios on the launch of your book, the time comes for us all when the sun starts to set on our lives. I hope that you can still look in from time to time. As they say: " It takes one to know one. " my noble Christian friend. My new book is dedicated to HIM because only HE could be patient enough to guide me toward the road of His light. I consider myself lucky that on the way met some enlightened souls like yours, my dear brother in Christ. Thank you so much for your gracious words. My dear friend, Lasaad. Thank you for honoring me with your visits and comments. As I approach the 80's and I feel the sunset coming, I wish to make a dignified exit. Yes, I will miss all my good and honorable friends here at the soup, however, eleven years is more than enough. It is true that without the site I wouldn't have been able to produce four books and to post more than 3400 poems. From time to time I would come back to have a look and see how you are doing.
