Before Darkness Saw Light

In the year before darkness saw light, When the safety of men knew no shroud. At the time when the shadows of night, In the Heavens had not been allowed. When the spirits of men did not mourn, Nor the moonshine through ominous clouds, Nor the souls loving earth had been born. Nor the blessings of God had been vowed. When the creatures of life were not made. Nor the hope of forever engraved. Nor the Plan of Salvation was stayed For which choice and rebellion are laid. When the children of God came not hence. And their spirits were with Him above, Nor had wars up in Heaven commenced. But all gathered around his great love. When the past and the future were one. And the dry parts of mass had not spun. And the time as we know it was not. The beginning had not yet begun. (Now to try an Anapest Triameter.)

It reminds me of some cosmic paradox. There were no time, no space at the beginning. What was the beginning of the beginning? Excellent poem. HUGS! :-) rajat

Thanks, Rajat Kanti Chakrabarty. I have thought a lot about the beginning, creation and God. I have posted two portions of a book that I plan to publish. You can find them along with a tiny bit of my artwork on Red Bubble. One is called Genesis Decoded, which is the title under which I hold the copyright and the other is Bridging the Gap, which is a large section within the book. Here are two links in case you have time to think more upon these things. http://www.redbubble.com/people/daneann/writing/3355478-genesis-decoded and http://www.redbubble.com/people/daneann/writing/3479742-bridging-the-gap-between-science-and-religion-the-hypothesis Big Smiles, Dane Ann
