Research has shown that humbles bees are astonishingly good at making quick decisions. Speeds only previously see in humans and other primates. Bees very quickly learn to identify the sweetest flowers. They are adept at quickly assessing whether to accept or reject a flower, but surprisingly their correct choices were on average faster (0.6 seconds) than their incorrect choices (1.2 seconds). Bees only accepted a flower if, at a first glance, they were pretty sure it was rewarding. If there was any risk they quickly rejected it. This is whant humans do as well.
