Bedtime Story
Bedtime Story
I am struggling, I can’t get out, I chop kick and I fight
I hack at the vegetation so thick it cuts out the light.
Where did it come from I can’t find my way
It’s dark and suffocating but I still hack and I slay
The sweat begins to pour from my body and face
My heartbeat is jumping and starting to race
Fear is gripping me and I begin to feel faint
But I will get out, there will be no restraint.
A last effort, I kick out hard, and a cry fills the air
I cannot see anything, who is it there?
“You kicked me you brute,” but I feel no guilt
As hubby rescues me, from the new king sized quilt.
