Bedfellow of Fate

Destiny, I’d say, is the bedfellow of fate
Wedded they walk in undisclosed ways,
Suspense of mystery their kindred trait
As to our country, the outcome of late
Every politician trying to accommodate,
Depending on how the electorate sways
