Bedeviled

Beguiled in the Garden of Eden. Eve brought mortality to herself and then, to man. Deceived by Satan’s clever enticements. Earth became a testing ground; separation from God began. Vanquished by sin, then expelled from the beautiful Garden. Idyllic life replaced by: toil, thistles and struggles; enduring faith tested. Living with hope for salvation, bedeviled by sin, sacrifice began. © October 14, 2010 Dane Smith-Johnsen
