Empty parts of an unequal whole you took and took And when I denied, you stole Gave that glaring look when my body shook Grievance was paid to you to be believed as untrue See if the disease begins to show Threw everything away For something you didn't want to know gifts you took for granted, day to day No work and all play Every hour, you lose touch Giving up too little, leaving out too much When fears become the unseen and true when hope remains less than clear When lies aren't seen through when you're anywhere but here I cannot see past the fear the things that chew me up and spit me out Forgetting the morals I was all about Break everything, every limb left bare and broken Every aspiration grows dim and my words become unspoken A worthless treasure, a tarnished token I begin to kill myself a little more Because I own what I never wanted before I hold possession to your soul Your every thought Words restrained because I have control Every material object bought Every piece of flesh tied and taught I now own you and your pride So take your honor in stride
