Beauty of Autumn Leaves
They float off of their limbs and land hither and yon.
Forgetting sometimes which tree they used to be fond.
Landing in piles of yellow, brown, orange, red with dots.
Showing off autumn to our sweetest, unaware tots.
The tots watch us rake and run for our leaf piles.
Their faces crack open with the widest happiest smiles.
Watching in awe as more leaves rain down from the sky.
Not realizing they were once on a tree, and not caring why.
