Beauty In Disguise
Beauty is in the eye of the one looking in,
Movie screens teach us how we should look,
Slim and glamorous,
Facelifts define it,
Nose, eyes, and lips,
All under the knife,
A nip and tuck,
Cutting off pieces,
Looking more stunning,
The smaller the better
Famous!
Bewitching and glamorous,
People looking in awe,
Cinema plays the scene,
Award winning actresses
Starring roles! Attract,
Petite bodies fascinate,
Tempt and allure,
Good looking,
Pretty! Rules,
Diets engage,
Power controls,
Instructing us,
Do the same!
Longing to copy,
Hypnotized,
By the fame of it all,
Lulling us,
A false sense of belief,
How should we look,
Hollywood tells us!
Changing the way we think,
Deceiving us with every lie,
Making us believe,
We need to change,
When all along,
We are beautiful,
Just the way we are.
