Beauty
beauty and danger meet in the form of a woman
why must the sting of something as amazing as love be so deadly?
the stories make it seem so wonderful
so inviting
yet even the most exquisite of daggers has a blade
one sharp enough to pierce the heart
countless victims have been lured into love's lair
it's trap
first a kiss
and then a sting
killing without remorse
as she has done thousands of times before
cold precision showing through
in the movement of every part of her perfect body
apathy given away in her feigned smile
i have been warned
i have warned others
and yet i am drawn in like very other fool
love is a noble suicide
beauty and danger meet in the form of a woman
and i am helpless to her guile
