Fun AND funny, Meghan. Sometimes in life we get club soda when we wished for champagne and the ability to drink it with a smile is called an attitude of gratitude. Love this, it's a winner in my book.

Thank you so much, John! I feel so much remorse when I come upon a comment I have accidentally been remiss in responding to, so please forgive me! Your description is 100% accurate! I've always wanted a beautiful view, and the best I could get was that small hill. Later, I found out it was the other side of the dump! I still loved my view! God bless and much love...Meghan!

Gordon, this response is so belated, you may never see it, but thank you so much for your comment! Yes, I wrote this poem to be sarcastic, although I was thankful for my little hill when the trash wasn't burning! I would LOVE to visit or reside in Scotland! Thanks again! LOL! Living in Texas, I've yearned to look out my windows and see huge mountains overlooking the ocean, which I won't see here, so when I finally moved across town and now have a view of trees and a small hill, I found it silly that it turned out to be the dump! Thanks!

Wow, so you just want to give me, a part-time editor, grammar advice? I appreciate it, but if I were to add the word "out", the flow of the 2nd line with the current syllable count would be disrupted. Therefore, I chose to leave it out. Thank you, though!
