Beautiful Springtime
Winter is gone, I loved you but you must go
it is time for rebirth and birth . . .
baby animals born under blue skies are growing
and in my garden, I saw some little bunnies eating
lush green grass and sun-kissed snowdrop flowers
and rainbow tulips, drooping . . .
in a nest outside my kitchen window is a loud chirping
newborn robins, oh so hungry and fluffy, adorable . . .
amongst my Spring flowers of daisies and violets
come drifting colourful young butterflies and hummingbirds
swirling and whirling, oh everything is alive and awakening
barefoot on the cool grass I run with kittens following . . .
I love the crispness and the sound of bees buzzing in the air
and birds singing me a song . . .
oh lovely the ducklings in the park drifting with their mom
baby squirrels are scampering here and there
and in a sunlit pond tadpoles are swimming
my world is new and blooming like a flower bulb
all is beautiful and flourishing
the trees have put on their emerald gowns
