Beautiful People

Beautiful people May not have might or be grand, Nor have titles or status. Beautiful people Need not have fame and glory Nor riches and possessions. Beautiful within. With warm qualities they glow, Lights lit to counter darkness. Hearts that deeply care. Compassion compels action. Something that cannot be bought. Beautiful people The shallow sighted can't see, But only the outer shell. All have potential To be beautiful people. Something that's always in reach. Never judge a book by it's cover. Be your own beauty I think. Your poem has motivated me to try to write this type of poem. It looks difficult. I feel encouraged by yours. A poem to ponder, that I am certainly glad to have found.

I remember this one taking longer to write, it was quite challenging. But it's fun to have a go a different styles. I didn't know that different styles of poem have a typical feel to them. The Rubaiyat was one that's usually sombre and wrote about happy rabbits tho there was a shooter on scene. Some find it refreshing, others don't like breaking tradition. So wrong or right, it's sometimes good to step outside the comfort zone and have a go. :-D

This is fine, fine writing, Natasha. You made very good use of the form, and I liked the subject matter, too.
