Beautiful Eyes

A stray bang pushed off to the
side revealed stunning blue
eyes, baby bird's egg blue.
Her eyes tell a story her lips
cannot, of love, longing,
desire, and fear. She does
not know me anymore,
trapped inside her head, but
somewhere deep inside she
knows me, feels me, loves me.
And so I come to visit, read
her stories, listen to the
same questions over and
over, hoping one day she
lets me get close enough to
push that stray bang off her
face and see her beautiful eyes
as they recognize me.
