I went to the casino the other day and, even though managed to win a few hundred, was amazed, almost repelled by the nonsense inside, the fake and the empty all around. The music, the lights, the air, the alcohol, the one cashier, the hidden exit, the removal of time, everything... amazing...
BTW i won on the roulette wheel with splits
The music wrapped me, carried me in,
And walked me toward the lights,
That shone and flashed and coloured my world,
Beginning my night of all nights,
Of chiming bell calls, the whoosh of the wheel,
The sound of a win in the air,
Where I could buy my chips at the beautiful table,
Without ever leaving my chair,
And I gladly watched my money fly off,
When the dealer flipped over a jack,
And I knew I’d lost, in this maze of a world,
And I knew I could never go back,
To the small exit door, wherever that was,
I was now the fish in the bowl,
Of this beautiful world, where I lost all I had,
When I gave the casino my soul.
