Bearing False Witness

Pretending to be the pure an innocent,

          a viper the mask hides. 

In the absence of those to defending themselves,

          the more vigorously it swears.

Those that show too credulous favor to listen,

           instead of being careful, to insist on sound validation.

No elixir or spell can cure, 

          only truly depends on first loving themselves.

One of the stories that stood out and has been remembered by me is this one"'He who is without sin can cast the first stone". A lesson that we should be following , but ignore, falling in the trap of criticizing others again and again? Eve this is an excellent poem.
