beads of dew; silver pearls a b o u n d stubbornly clinging to spider webs silently t r i c k l i n g down window panes after rainfall their traces, contrails in the sky s i l e n c e broken as they d r i p into a puddle, and into the thirsty soil; they s l i d e off lotus leaves, flower petals and r o l l d o w n blades of grass, roofs; exploding as they pelt concrete, breaking silence once again.
