beads of dew abound stubbornly clinging to spider webs silently trickling down from window panes after rainfall their traces like contrails in the sky silence broken as they drip into a puddle silence again as they drip into the soil hungering of thirst quickly drinking up moisture as they slide off drying leaves and flower petals and roll down blades of grass silence broken once more as they drip from roofs exploding like a grenade as they pelt concrete Date written and posted: 06/09/2018
