Be Your Own Strength

All my life i have been facing judgment
People saying things about who i am
They don’t really know me, just the image
They really don’t know Marlon the father, the man

They don’t know the genuine person that they look at
They don’t read the book just judge the cover
They don’t know Marlon Malcolm inside out
The dedicated Husband and the lover

Sometimes people are not always as bad as you think
So before making assumptions try to know the human being
Try to understand them and their personality and what’s inside
Don’t go ahead and pass judgment because of what you have seen

Because at one point you may be wrong and don’t know it
Watch the movie don’t just say it’s lame just because of the trailer
And don’t say i am weak and easy to tear apart
Because my life was built for success i wasn’t designed to be a failure

So this is a lesson to all who break down easily because of words
Remember sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you
Stay strong even in the roughest and toughest times my friend
Even when the wicked raise up and start to curse you

You are strong and you can be your own strength when the test comes
Because people see what’s outside only you know what’s within
So ladies stand firm in hard times take control be your own queen
And men this is your own jungle so be brave and be your own king

People will always be quick and speedy in judging you
People will always try to put you down
Even if they are strong enough to do it my friend
You are stronger and you will bounce right back around
