Be Still Waggy Tail Be Still

Depression borne of grief,
I can’t bear that you are gone;
But you are not, your presence is everywhere,
Especially in these empty rooms..

Sometimes if I stare, I see your happy smile,
Trying to tell me you are free, can see, and
Another time, you lie sleeping,
So far, so far.

Many I have lost, but a new one
Would distract the gloom, and my soul somewhat fill.
I cannot endure another goodbye,
Be still Waggy Tail, be still.

I miss you.

I know the Lord loves all His Creatures as He said of the sparrow. One day we too will meet again, meeting where the lamb lies down with the lion. Then my loyal friend I will see you again. The bible mentions animals so much - I know they are not wasted. Jesus himself was called the "Lamb of God."
