Be Still Waggy Tail Be Still

Depression borne of grief, I can’t bear that you are gone; But you are not, your presence is everywhere, Especially in these empty rooms.. Sometimes if I stare, I see your happy smile, Trying to tell me you are free, can see, and Another time, you lie sleeping, So far, so far. Many I have lost, but a new one Would distract the gloom, and my soul somewhat fill. I cannot endure another goodbye, Be still Waggy Tail, be still. I miss you.

Oh so true. My heart breaks for you and all of us who have lost our "friend" and companion. I know the Lord loves all His Creatures as He said of the sparrow. One day we too will meet again, meeting where the lamb lies down with the lion. Then my loyal friend I will see you again. And what a "day" that will be!

I thank you so much. I, too, believe we will meet all we love again. The bible mentions animals so much - I know they are not wasted. Jesus himself was called the "Lamb of God."

Hi Sunlite, it is so sad when our canine friends leave us. I do believe that we meet them again. I remember many years of love and fun with little Sheeba. This is a poem that sparks memories within me. A lovely tribute. Hugs....Mike. XX

I feel for you Sunlite, we too lost our faithful spaniel a couple of years ago, they leave a big void in your life when they go. Tom.

I have lost other dogs, but this one was special and probably my last. You are so right about that void.

It is so hard to lose a cherished pet. I know, I have buried many of them. The sad part we all have to realize is most will not outlive us, the happy part is the memories of the times shared and the love shared. Sadly beautiful my friend.
