Be Still My Heart

Be still my heart, my eyes behold
Beauty like never seen,
Expressions I cannot withhold
Straight from Vogue magazine.

Her raven hair flows down
The bodice of her gown
Beneath a pouty frown,

I must depart,
Be still my heart.

L Milton Hankins September 1, 2021 at 10:03 AM This is the "quietus" format I found in one of the contests. You should give it a try. I think the line syllables are 8-6-8-6, then 6-6-6 monorhyme and last rhyming couplet with equal number of syllables. Fun to work with.
