Be Still My Heart

Be still my heart, my eyes behold Beauty like never seen, Expressions I cannot withhold Straight from Vogue magazine. Her raven hair flows down The bodice of her gown Beneath a pouty frown, I must depart, Be still my heart.

(chuckling) Glad you enjoyed it, John. I live alone, so need to hide my magazines! Golly, you reminded me of those National Geographic days, too, when that was my only access to naked humans!

This is the "quietus" format I found in one of the contests. You should give it a try. I think the line syllables are 8-6-8-6, then 6-6-6 monorhyme and last rhyming couplet with equal number of syllables. Fun to work with.
