Be Better

It's possible in life to become so astronomically busy, you miss enjoying the stars. Lately, I have been training my mind to embrace stillness--enjoy where I am instead of adding miles to life's circumferential journey. Whether I walk fast or slow, a more inward journey I must go. For the world is always in rotation, and you will always be brought to an opportunity to be better than before. That miltary road march mentality can only take you so far. Learning how to be happy with now. Breathing more deeply than I ever have before. Slowing my thoughts to coincide with an iambic pentameter. Daily tasks and cramming minutes into every hour give way to the purest second imaginable. Alas, I can not only see an enumeration of stars, but life has become a simpler endeavor. Everyday, a chance to be better.
