Be As You Are Meant To Be

Look beyond who people think you are
Look inside to see yourself as only you see
Don't worry about what others may think
There is no reason to hide life's scars
Just be as you are meant to be

Everything will not always go right
Always be true to yourself
You'll see that even if in a fight
You won't need to remember
Because you know the answer

The days when you fall
You don't need to hide
Many can help with anything
Both physical and emotional
It happens to all

You need to stop and think
It's okay to cry
When emotions get strong
Sometimes you must blink
You are not considered weak
If you stop and ask yourself why

Good write, Matt. We have two sides- character and reputation. Reputation waht people think we are, and character is who we know we are. People put too much value on the first, and just get on with living, carrying the much lighter, stronger, second. Viv

Thank you for reading my poem I appreciate review. Everybody sees themselves differently than the rest of the world sees them because nobody shares everything with anybody even those closest to them. We all have secrets, both good and bad.
