Battlecry

Tales were told of the woman who felt like a girl Weak and shameful Deplorable and contemptible Who was this..thing, that dare walk upon our land What evil could she posses to make her think she had the balls? ME! I REFUSE to lay down and succumb to the shame you all try to bring Tears in my eyes, glowing with an inner flame Watch me stand, despite the world of weight i've been given tall and strong proud and beautiful HEAR MY LAUGHTER do you hear? it's true, not faked I laugh at your attempts to bring me down I dance around the corpses of your attempted murder of dreams My eyes may bleed My back may break My knees may shake The ground beneath me may quake The wold around me may burst into flames But you will NOT see me bound and broken That which you cannot take, i do not give And so, i choose, TO LIVE. So kiss my ass, you pathetic haters. I will rise. and I will shine. I will survive and more, I will thrive. Those tales are gone, replaced with a woman who is a hero to those beaten down and forgotten The shunned and shamed The hated and blamed. The wrongly accused, and those who are brave. Daniexelle Michelle Eledwhen. That is my name. May it ever be a light, giving hope to those lost in the rain.
