Battle of Words - Alexa Brus

Battle Of Words ((collaboration))

by~ ALEXA BRUS

A thousand random thoughts race through my head
at a loss to find the clarity to write what they actually said

clashing as sworn enemies in the dead of night
drawing their swords, the battle begins to find some insight

blackened ink of unlegible words runs down the pages
as the lion and the lamb pace back and forth within their cages

thoughts march forward, thinking they've got it figured out
each one slashed away by the ambiguous army of doubt

by~ Poet Destroyer

Drifting until the veil impales words into my mind
Erupting in brilliance spectrum's that expand very unkind

A jagged stars, fell to emerge in pictures of peace and tranquility
Like a serenade of marching dimes, alluring army twisted personality

And this the mischief in which words run and burn "we are born!"
~Never into the perfect Eden, once the enemy blew its horn

The withered hands of time cradled by evergreen harmony
That shun majestic Aurora battles, rising in jaded disharmony

Cool high seas poetry, Alex and PD! Swords unsheathed and pens sharpened. This is as cool a battle as heretofore seen in the Kitchen swab halls of Poetry Soup. Love and smiles always.

Just delving into your back pocket again my Sweet Dark Friend, I see you also struggle with the words in this twisted world. How are you keeping? Take care, Richard

A very well done piece/collaboration as far as the insights of the connection/ disconnection of thoughts and words and frailty of emotions in the human experience. well done Alexa and PD

Sounds like you are talking about the "Garden of Eden" throughout the poem. I like the last line the best. Is Aurora one of the greek or Roman Gods? Or the sun? Love Matthew Anish
