Battle of Heart and Mind

This oasis that resides deep inside me 
Which reflects in my eyes
In this drama of the sky I see myself at times
The sun plays with the clouds which knows
nothing better covered in shroud
The moon tugs at the tides which recede
Like my heart deep in my core 
I take a pause and open thoughts door
Drenched in my own battle I look at strife
As I align this delicate balance with a plan
I call a truce as I look with eyes open not blind
As time and tide wait for no man or mind
I seek happiness and just try to be kind
