bars in a reflection

sky is dark in the day,
                light as shadows;

their invisible pull on
                the girl falling pane;

black star beam
               like Van Gogh striking

a frame, memories
              clog fingerprints;

mad face of color;
              on glass run ghosts,

window is looking in

Dear Paige, It's like standing before a pane that remembers more than the person looking through it. I love the Van Gogh strike of color, the fingerprints thick with memory, the ghosts running their blurred faces along the window. It’s a haunting kind of introspection, where the reflection isn’t just seen but sensed, as if the window itself is trying to look back. Beautifully done. Blessings, Daniel

Perhaps the window reflects the opposite.

each doleful line leading to a hue of despair...quite an artistry, paige!
