For Seth Pina's "Obsession 2" poetry contest
This is a response of the obsessed character to Nikki, the girl he wanted to love him but turned crazy in the process.
Based on a really good new horror movie called Obsession.
I am the taker of your sanity. Have I lost my humanity? What I see before me can’t be true. Nikki, I see the wrong version of you. So obsessed with you I was for years. But now my eyes feel flooded with tears. The wish I made I know now was ungodly. I only wanted though for you to love me. That “One Willow Branch’ I had to break, but I’ve turned you into someone who is fake. Logic and compassion, Nikki, you now lack. How I wish my wish I could take back. As if in a trance you smile and come creeping, and I think you even watch me as I’m sleeping. We’re playing now a game of cat and mouse. You even tried to trap me in my own house. My need to possess you turned you jealous and insane. The real you, Nikki, is shrieking in my brain. To set you free, I must kill myself although I’ll leave you in a mess! Oh why did I ever break that “One Wish Willow.”
