Baring One's Soul

 baring my tired soul
through shared innocent thoughts....
spoken or written

you have walked upon them as
pearls before a herd of swine

That is a feeling hard to bear; we all need someone(s) who appreciate the pearls we create. I tramp on my own enough...I don't need anyone else to do it. I hope you have many who appreciate your work.

Delice, It is true and no one on soup or any other poetry sight is/was responsible. These things happen sometimes when someone close to us stabs us with a knife and then turns the blade. Your visit was encouraging. Sara

I had such an incident recently, took the wind right out of my sails as I have know this poet right from when I joined this wonderful poetic troupe,, I gasped at the abruptness, a comment which hurt me, mind you I am far too sensitive Maybe because I think before I write.
