Oh, Bandit, what's your impish task While sporting, sly, that little mask? You seem quite innocent and frail Yet the kitchen tells a different tale Floor all messy, the counters, too Paw prints that led straight to you But while I had a penance planned You're far too sweet to reprimand Looking slumberous in your slouch Reclining leisurely upon the couch Soon you'll close those kitty eyes And off you'll scamper to fantasize Such fuzzy mitts you'll fuzzily flail While prizing creatures, (and your tail) I can't help query what you'll scheme While making mischief in your dream Though doubts, have I, it can't outdo The pranks you pull while being You But antics granted, here you'll stay Because I'd have you no other way So while you're "Plunder-On-All-Fours" You've plundered, too, this heart ... That's yours. ** FIRST PLACE in the "Picture Prompt: Write Me Something Funny" Poetry Contest, Julie Leigh Rodeheaver, Sponsor. **

They are a wonderful subject matter and SO much muse, so it makes it easy, Mo - so pleased you liked my little tribute to the feline form! Thanks, Friend! :-) <3

Oh, that's so sweet of you, Janice, and I so greatly appreciate it! I had much fun with this one, and thought of my own dear kitties while I wrote it, so an enjoyable experience writing - I'm glad you enjoyed the reading end! Blessings! :-) <3

I am really loving your poetry today. This one I shall fave, particularly because I am a cat lover and my Razmatazz is right here beside me now purring up a storm.

She often takes my arm prisoner when she sleeps - always has to be in "touch" with me ... it's really a rather wonderful "problem" to have. :-) <3

One of my kitties, Sugar, was hugging my left arm as I wrote this one, so I had wonderful inspiration! (I also study cat language and hope to write an article on it soon). She is the sweetest soul I've ever known, and she brings me so much joy - I'd be lost without my "girls"! I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one, and many thanks for the fav, dear friend! <3

Thanks so much, SW - I am a BIG animal person, and love my own two kitties so much ... I'd be lost without them, as they bring me joy daily! Blessings, friend! :-) <3

This poem is so delightful Greg. This has winner written all over it! I wanted to mention also about your poem in the Creative Collective anthology series 2 titled No Poet, Am I on page 24. I really loved it. My only criticism about the book is that it is difficult to find the poems as the index numbers don't match the page numbers. A great book other wise. My only poem in the book says 39 when it is actually on page 48. Did you buy the book?

I noticed the errors with page numbers, too, Connie - I hope they can correct it. I haven't bought it but I plan to, and I love your entry - just gorgeous! Thank you so much for the kind comment here - I am a animal person and I have two wonderful kitties myself, and actually study cat communication -

I hope to write a paper or article about it sometime soon, as I have learned so much about them, and can help folks get closer to their cats, (who are MUCH more communicative than most people realize). Blessings, my friend! :-) <3
