Bananas

They say we evolved from apes,
  but an ape would never destroy its own environment;
  or be unwilling to share ---
  having an endless amount of anything,
  or have itself as its own worst enemy ---

Is this what they call standing upright?
  (Bananas)

The time might come when evolution weeds out the perpetrators. It can mean going backwards. But maybe in a galaxy far away? I am not sure whether religion is always a better guide than the dogma of money, but many of us have truly lost the thread of kindness. And egotism and also altruism could surely include saving the planet for some kinder genes to come true. And bananas do not kill unless one has some rare allergy. Mandkind and womankind surely has some autoimmune disorder. The cure?

Religion isn't a better guide, the dogma of money either, the truth is. The ego? That's the problem... The dogma of money has no ethics, it is very much an old whore who should have died long ago. And bananas do kill if one needs them to survive...

I wholeheartedly agree with the comments made by Jack Ellison. Mankind too oft makes a monkey out of itself but never sprang from monkeys/apes.

I personally do not believe in the theory of evolution. Human beings can sure be arrogant, prideful, angry, hateful creatures. Bananas. I love it, Keith. Powerful in it's brevity.

I couldn't agree more Becca. It is the belief in absolutes which creates all the nonsense; they ABSOLUTELY believe that their scientific findings or some peoples beliefs are all knowing when we don't even know much about the simplest atom. What's a child who was raised and believes in a loving God supposed to think upon being told we come from apes? The world is at great risk now and 'gurus' like Hawkings and Dawkins can only think of findings in science when it won't matter when the bombs start flying; who's going to care when homeless and starving in a war torn hell what science has discovered? Bananas...

Appreciate the visit Silent. It is interesting yes --- teaching this half-brained theory to schools and the masses to garnish doubts to our true origins; Darwinism doesn't probe far enough in this regard, putting a wall up between science and metaphysics; life must have a source, it is energy which gives life, not biological animations, what is this energy of life? Where does it come from? I believe this is all an endevour of truth finding --- the surest path to truth is through the very Source of truth itself; when science discovers this --- major progress can be made for mankind.;-)

Thought-penetrating poetry, Mr. Keith! Deep space musing ... Borg observing the Planet of the Apes. Keep the love and knowledge flowing, by brother from another mother. This marvelous poem has great philosophical ap-peel. Lol! Go bananas. Love and smiles always.

Appreciate the visit Freddie, I remember in science class a student had just learned that apparently we come from apes --- he said, 'We come from apes? ----My momma ain't no ape!'

Good points Anne, a lot of people are reading the wrong books. Bad ideas or bad ideals make people bad. The greatest threat to mankind at the source is ignorance and stupidity, not so much 'evil' --- which comes from those two defiencies, it feeds the handful of devils out there controlling things the perfect stage to work from.
