Banana Soup

a ttt- tom's true tale; Back in the late sixties, A rumour went around, You could get high by smoking banana peels, It's veracity seemed quite sound, So our little evil minds, Went out and did procure, A veritable ton of bananas To get high, we were sure... So we put them in the oven, Over my friend Gary's home Dying for them to prove pungent The stars for us to roam, Well, I'm tellin' you now, Baking banana skins somehow, Produces a most unpleasant stink, Just what and why did we think? Suprise, suprise That look in our eyes, Deer in the headlights, When Gary's mom came home, Unexpected, by all rights, So like the keystone cops we were, A deception must occur, Thus we took a large pot, On the stove getting hot, Added every imaginable condiment, And much more, Because we hoped for sure, The smellier it got, It would then assure, Our bakery delight to go unnoticed, Hence on the pot we focused... Now his mother thought us quite mad, That four teenagers could act so rad, And we held our collective breath, In fear of a banana death... Honestly I don't remember what happened then, I suppose my mind repressed it when, Banana brains we proved to be, For all the world to see.
