Back To the Beach

washed ashore
wanting more
reaching down to feel for my fin
I find legs intact

retreat to consciousness
sand kisses
sun somber
starfish salute
render my ocean
back to my body
water baby no more
with
toes tickled in foam

was my ocean caprice
a film?
all in my mind?
no, I know
where I have been
crazy, yes
but not insane...

sand castles played realities' tune
fortune found her pleasures
my follies are mine this time!
