Back To School

**Being a bus monitor has given me plenty of stories to tell. It is a fantastic job that I had no idea that it even existed until I actually got the job. The school I am a monitor for is a 100% special needs school. Like you have to qualify to go to that school.

Back to school on the bus I go
but I am not a student you see.
I ride on the bus to and fro,
I the bus monitor be.

The morning ride stages the school day
and I will do the best that I can,
to make sure the smile on your face will stay
you will be the best learner in the land.

Then in the classroom you will sit,
and your mind will expand and grow.
At recess your energy will hit.
And fun on your face will show.

Then you board my bus and we ride once again
I am your back to school monitor and your friend.

Miranda, once again you have effortlessly crafted a mesmerizing poem. Your purposeful execution is commendable, for being an extraordinary educator is a noble endeavor that extends invaluable assistance to those who require it. I express my gratitude for both your poetic contribution and the heartfelt account of your service.

I LOVE my job. It is something that anyone could learn to do, but it is not something that everyone should do. They train you from scratch. I am beginning year number 7 working there and while some students are a challenge, to say the least, you fall in love with them.

On special needs bus fights between students are not really an issue. Sure it might be an argument or two between the most cognitive students, but it is more of do I need to take away a backpack from the kid? It might be did the parent send the child to school with the right Epi Pen (yes, I have to chart that it happened.) Issue might even be did he wear his diaper today?

Good purposeful job, Miranda. I was a Special Ed teacher and coach before retirement. Thanks for the poem to share your experience of serving those in need. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Job is the most rewarding job ever. Those kids wiggle their way into your heart, and warm it up greatly.
