Back At You

Throughout life adventures, we seldom find
A person that lifts us and forces us kind
Without any warning you rendered me blind
To my own reflection, my peace of mind
The scent of your hair and the shape of your face
So silent those foot steps, from only your pace
Still do they reveal this girl out of place
Whoever I am now knows only your grace
In my arms you belong, know it never be so
But fair chance you did give me to water it grow
With failed dismissal my love brightly glows
Just as friends now is bitter tongue I woefully know
This bond is beyond more than anything just
A lake and her tributaries all burning with lust
Cried out then dried out, as they knew they must
A dear friend still awaits you, if you don't mind the rust

I'm so glad you liked my poem, I figured I'd check your stuff out. And now I really don't think you are kidding when you say you know what I'm dealing with. Cause I'm so sorry for you brother cause I so totally am this poem. I know this pain all too well. Great job!
